Toning, silver shampoos or what?

Just went from brown to blonde professionally and it turned out a little more yellow/orange than I'd like. ANy Recommendations?Toning, silver shampoos or what?
blue shampoo is awesome for that, Aveda makes one called Blue Malva, Joico makes one, and Kava makes, in my opinion, the BEST one, called Sea lights.

Matrix makes an color conditioner that is blue.

BUT

if you are not completely happy with your color, and I am assuming you paid at least 50-60 dollars for it, I would go back to your stylist, and politely ask her to tone the yellow out of it.

she will probably be happy to do that for you.Toning, silver shampoos or what?
Put a shamoo in toner on it.
Hmmm, doesn't sound like the hairdresser did such a good job. You probably should have gone back and gotten them to either lighten your hair a bit more to reduce the warmth or toned it down with an ash colour. I used to be a bottle blonde for eight years - I always stuck to ash colours and sometimes used a purple shampoo. Here's a tip - if you're wondering what an ideal shade for your skin tone would be, try on some wigs at a wig shop. Some people look good in warm shades and others with cool.
It sounds like you may want to lighten it a bit more and then use a toner on it. It should be pale yellow, then tone. No orange.

Shampoo that turns yout hair silver/grey?

hi i had a friend who used to say that the silver part of her hair was done with a shampoo and that it would wash of in a day or two, i want to know if anyone knows what was that that she used?Shampoo that turns yout hair silver/grey?

  • What does Shimmer lights shampoo for blonde and silver do to black hair?

So I have the black and blonde tone in my hair, and the hair stylist had dyed some of my black hair blonde causing it to look a bit orange. I just recently got it done and i'm wanting to try the shimmer lights shampoo to see if i can tone the color down a bit. Now sense i have black in my hair i'm wondering if the shampoo will try and take effect on the black. which i'm hoping it doesn't. I just want to lighten the blonde. so if i use the shampoo in my hair is it going to effect the black and make it change any other color? or will it do what i want to do and just concentrate on the blonde. What does Shimmer lights shampoo for blonde and silver do to black hair?
No, it will not affect the black at all, i have the same type of tones in my hair, except a word of caution, i have bought three different types shimmer shampoos, look for the color closest to the color you want, otherwise it will change your hair color. I would buy the one with more yellow tones to bring out the blond color. Don't buy golden it will turn your hair color brown. Hope this helps.

Would shampoo for gray hair (silver expressions, etc)?

get the unnatural red tint in my hair out of my brown hair that's gotten really brassy after returning to my natural color?Would shampoo for gray hair (silver expressions, etc)?
Thats bad...I truly think you'll have to see a salon or hair professional to get it fixed unless you want to wear it out...Once you have that brassy look hair due to another hair dye, I'm tell you there ISN'T any hair fixer/color/repair thing available to the public to fix it, you gotta go to a professional and spend the money. Sorry but its the truth, IF you do figure something out though I'd like 2 know

Can u use a blond color stay shampoo on silver/grey hair?

i use grey/silver hair dye and everytime i do after the first time i wash my hair the color starts to get brasy fades and some parts get dirty blond. i have tired a few hair dyes but they all do the same thing. i asked an older freind from work who use to be a beauticain and she said put filler in my hair b4 i dyed it and it did the same thing. i use tigi catwalk thats made for colored hair but it doesn't seem to work in keeping the color well. i was thinking of getting color locking shampoo made for blonds. would it work or can anyone reccomend something elseCan u use a blond color stay shampoo on silver/grey hair?
Yes. You absolutely can. The same ingriedients in blonde hair shampoo that help make blonde hair more brillant will prevent grey/white hair from yellowing.

Additionally, Pantene makes a shampoo specially forumlated for grey/silver/white hair to help keep it looking its best. It is called: Pantene Pro V Silver Expressions. This shampoo aids in prevention of yellowing, and in keeping silver hair (often noted for being more coarse and dry) silky and well moisturized. But, I do not know how this would react with your hair dye since the product advertises that it removes elements that are harmful to hair (I guess that could mean hair dye).

I would look into the Aveda line of shampoos. Most shampoos use sodium laurel sufate to aid in the sudsy, soapy formula. This chemical really removes a lot of moisture and good oils from the hair along with the good. Aveda and other environmentally conscious hair companies do not use much or any sodium laurel sulfate in their products. A product with less sodium laurel sulfate is going to be easier on color treated hair than one otherwise. Can u use a blond color stay shampoo on silver/grey hair?
    YOU SURE CAN
yea they have something called brilliant blond that should do the trick it brings the blond to a shine nice look..
You can use any shampoo you want.
    Yes,you can use it..

    Silver Toning Shampoo?

They have these toning shampoos that tint blonde hair that nice silver shade. I know that high end hair care brands make them, but I'm on a budget. Are there any cheaper options?

    Silver shine shampoo?

I got this shampoo from the salon called silver shine shampoo, its suppose to neutralize brassy and yellow tones. I use it about once a week, but after about a week of not using it my hair just goes back to being brassy and yellow.

    Why?Silver shine shampoo?
i have that shampoo too..it doesn't work for me..spent like $10 and didn't notice a change!! i do have golden tones in my hair and the only shampoo that works for me now is shimmer lights:) i only apply it to the golden tones and not the whole head because if it goes on my ash blonde jair it will turn purple lol...good luck:)Silver shine shampoo?
It is probably a toner, which provides an opposite color of what you don't want in order to counteract it. It probably leaves a thin deposition of color over your ';brassy'; color, but it will wash away if you stop using it.
This could be - what you want. Run a little search on the site below. Hope this assists you.

  • I bought Matrix Silver (purple shampoo) to prevent brassiness in my dyed blonde hair....?

should I use this everytime I shampoo, once a week or what? (doesn't say on the bottle) looking for answers from a beautician or someone who uses or has used a simular product. ThanksI bought Matrix Silver (purple shampoo) to prevent brassiness in my dyed blonde hair....?
depends on your hair color and porosity

my advice is always to see what makes your hair work

if it works well for you every day... use it every day

you can also dilute it if the color is too strong with a clear shampooI bought Matrix Silver (purple shampoo) to prevent brassiness in my dyed blonde hair....?
I dont use matrix i use joico two times a week. when I used it more it irritated my scalpl.
Only use it once a week!!!!! Or else you run the risk of turning your hair purple. Trust me it happened to me!
You should try Pureology. This is the VERY BEST colored hair shampoo and conditioner. Try the pink shampoo and the purple conditioner. You'll never use anything else ever again once you try this stuff. Costly, but soooo worth it!
just use it once a week........ u dont want purple hair do you??
Silver is generally used by people with grey hair because it can look yellow. Violet gets rid of yellow. Products like that can be used once a week. More than that can deposit too much color and turn your hair purple.

    I am also a hairstylist :P

My hair is dyed a strawberry blonde. Would a Silver Shampoo tone down the orange?

I recently dyed my hair from brown to blonde at a saloon and they had a really hard time getting it to a lighter blonde that I wanted. It turned out to be a golden blonde with a orange tint, Strawberry blonde. I was not very happy with the orange tint so I bought Silver Expressions from Pantene and it has a purple toner. I know that this shampoo is to get rid of the yellowness in silver, blonde and brassy hair but would this be able to get rid of the orange tint?

Thanks in advance. My hair is dyed a strawberry blonde. Would a Silver Shampoo tone down the orange?
It might, but it probably isn't strong enough if your hair really is orange toned right now. If you don't want to have to mess with anything else, try using that. Make sure you apply it pretty evenly and let it soak in for a few minutes before rinsing out. You'll have to keep up with that for probably at least a week to expect to see any difference.

Some other options that I would recommend.. If you are willing to do a home dye job, go to your local Sally Beauty Supply and buy Wella Color Charm permanent hair dye in White Lady, and pick out a 20 Volume Liquid Developer and an applicator bottle. You might need to ask an employee's help on this. Then go home and have a friend help you mix and apply it. If you can bribe them into it. :)

If you're afraid to apply more chemicals, go to Sally's or Hot Topic and pick out Manic Panic semi-permanent hair dye in a blue-violet shade. Go home and add some to a palm full of conditioner, maybe just starting with a pea-sized amount of dye. Apply it to your hair, rinse, dry, and see if it's made a difference. If it hasn't, try it again with a higher proportion of dye. Since your hair was just bleached, it's very absorbent to color so be careful! You don't want lavender or worse, bright purple-blue hair!

Or, you might go back to the salon and tell them you need a toner applied to get rid of the orange. If they don't know what you're talking about, find a different stylist!

There are even more suggestions I could give you, but I think unless you are used to doing your hair color at home you should go back to the salon. If you explain to them you weren't satisfied with the original job, they might even fix it for free!

Good luck. I know first hand how awful it can be to have orange toned bleach blond hair. :( Feel free to give me a shout if you want any more details.

I have a question about purple shampoo, specifically jhirmack's silver shampoo.?

Jhirmack's was recommended online as a good brightening shampoo, but the only Jhirmack's shampoo I can find has the word 'silver' in it. I know that it can be used for gray hair, but can I use it? My hair is a darker blonde and really curly, and I really don't want it to be platinum, just more of a gold tone, bright, not light, but I don't want to dye it. Could I use Jhirmack's silver? Also, do you have any other recommendations. I want it to brighten up, but still look completely natural. If anyone out there has similar hair, or has used Jhirmack silver shampoo, I would really like to know. Please tell me your hair type and what effect your shampoo had. I don't want to do any damage. Thanks a bunch!I have a question about purple shampoo, specifically jhirmack's silver shampoo.?
Jhirmack may be ok, it just depends on your type of blond hair. If your hair was closer to a white blond, then Jhirmack would be just the thing to use. I suggest that you try some other color-enhancing shampoo. Sunsilk and Pantene have formulas designed for this purpose. You could find them at almost any drug store or supermarket. At salons or beauty supply stores, you could look for brands like Paul Mitchell, Artec, and KMS, that are designed for blond hair. Some of the brands i've listed are color-depositing as opposed to just color-enhancing, meaning you should really read the labels carefully to know how they work. The cost of the salon/ beauty supply store brands isn't cheap, so that is why I caution you! Good luck.I have a question about purple shampoo, specifically jhirmack's silver shampoo.?
Thanks for the rating. I used to work in a Beauty Supply Store, which is why I know how the products work. I hope you find the product best suited for you! Report Abuse

dont use the silver shampoo the reason why I say this is if you use to much or let it sit on too long you will have a purple cast on your blonde hair.Loreal makes a good one calle feria shimmer enhancing conditioner for blondes plus it has a anti brass in it also

Which is better for white toning shampoo, ';One 'n Only shiny Silver'; or ';Pantene Silver Expressions';?

I'm dyeing my hair white (do not judge me) and I want to buy toner shampoo to help keep the color as-is. Which is better for my hair, and which is more effective?

One 'n Only Shiny Silver vs Pantene Silver ExpressionsWhich is better for white toning shampoo, ';One 'n Only shiny Silver'; or ';Pantene Silver Expressions';?
I use Pantene Silver Expressions but I have never seen One n' Only. Pantene works well for me. I also use (after washing my hair) Fancifull Rinse - White Minx. Distribute through your hair and dry and style as usual.

    I bought Quic Silver Shampoo...?

...for my Paint horse. He is a chestnut piebald. The shampoo is for light horses(palominos, albinos, greys, and the lable says it may not work well for even buckskins). Will this shampoo mess up his chestnut patches?? I know this seems like a dumb question, but I don't want to ruin his cuteness!!

-Meg(13 year old Paint horse owner with shampoo dilemma!)I bought Quic Silver Shampoo...?
No, it won't mess up his color... I have a bay and white tobiano, and have used that shampoo on plenty of occasions, :)I bought Quic Silver Shampoo...?
i bought quicksilver shampo 2 use on my dapple grey pony and mum tried to use it on her bay mare and it only made her coat dull.my friend used it on her chestnut pinto and it made his whaite patches glow but stuffed up his chestnut patches. i think there is another shampoo for other colured horses like chestnuts and other colours made by the same company. i cant remember if the quicksilver shampoo is purple. but purple is gr8 to use on any whaite animal. it really makes them gloww!!!it works on my new white boy!

yeah it works when you use both shampoos.good luck!:)
well there is that type of shampoo for paint! here is the website:

    http://www.justforponies.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD%26amp;ProdID=1027
Don't worry about it. First wash him with the Quic Silver Shampoo to get all the stains out of the white spots. Then do a quick wash with regular shampoo to clean the chestnut spots and remove anything that will make them dull. Then wah la a beautiful and clean pony.
i'm pretty sure it won't mess up his color. it didn't really even do a whole lot for my grey
I like Quic Silver shampoo but when I used it I thought it was really tough on my horse's skin...drying. I also used it on his tail with the same impression...tough on the hair shaft; drying.

Somebody else may have a different impression.

There are so many great shampoos out there now for ';whitening up'; white areas on a horses's haircoat don't be confined to trying just one.

There's a new one on the market, ';Fiebings Blue Frost'; shampoo; Fiebings (the leather cleaner/conditioner folks) state this shampoo is easy on a haircoat. I will have to try it as their leather conditioners are quite good.
We really like it for our appy it gives them mor of a silvery sheen on the white but has never had any bad effects on his chestnut spots.

Like someone mentioned they also make Quic Color which brings out the darker colors shine a little more and makes whites a Snowy white rather than a silvery one.

But No quic silver wont do any harm to the appearance of his colored patches. In buckskins you'd want to show there color rather than give it a lighter sheen but anything darker the sheen isn't noticable. I've used it on my ';black'; liver chestnut with no problem when out of the color stuff.
It might dull them.. the enhancers that it has in are specifically meant for white/grey/silver hair.. it attaches to the hair shaft and adds a really nice shine (I use it on my grey before shows).

(EDIT:::Please note here: Quic makes a whole line of shampoos that are specific to colors. Quic black, quic color, quic silver. You wouldn't use Quic black on a white horse for the same reason you really shouldn't use Quic silver on a chestnut/black horse. But Quic color would be fine because it just has natural enhancers rather than COLOR enhancers.)

What I would do is shampoo him all over with a normal shampoo, like cowboy magic rosewater or fiebings horse saloon shampoo (smells heavenly) - then use the quic silver on his white parts to make them explode.

Also - just a tip for you to save some money.. you can get something similar at Wal-Mart for nearly 75% cheaper. It's called Jhirmack and it's made for people with silver/grey hair to make their hair shiny and reduce yellow-ness. It works great for frequent use to keep him clean, and it's safe to use on your horse. I use it for generic bathing to keep him clean and keep the yellow away, and I use the Quic Silver before shows because it has more of a ';white'; color enchancer that pops more than the Jhirmack.
yeah ive used it on my bay gelding and my chestunut one and it made there coats really dull. Get some hoss gloss (if its available where you are) Youcan use that on any colour and it makes them nice and shinny
The quick silver is great for white spots and stained legs....for more deep stains leave it on for 2-5 min..... the chestnut patches work really well too...i do think that the cowboy magic yellow out works really well you can always clean the chestnut areas with orvas or something..... also vetrolin works well as a stain remover....it will work on all colours...and it is a good pre-wash if you have a imp. show...also is a liniment and will make your horse feel good
No it should actually help not only brighten the white areas but make the darker (chestnut) enhanced too. this shampoo and white n bright by farnam is the only shampoos I use anymore. I have used them on black and hitw appies , black and white paints , sorrel qh mares , my bay arab qh, this way I get their white markings sparkling and the rest of the colors bright and pretty too. The best way for it to work is massage it in and then let sit for about 5 minutes then rinse. If you wash and rinse immediately you won't get the sparkle and shine

  • Will silver shampoo wreck the purple underneath my hair?

I have bright blonde on top and a very deep purple underneath (sorry I dont have any photo's) just want to know if theres any hairdressers out there that may know if I use the silver shampoo %26amp;%26amp; conditioner on all of my hair will it wreck my purple?

What do you suggest? Will silver shampoo wreck the purple underneath my hair?
wont wreck it. but will cause it to fade.. i use Matrix so silver cause im very bright blonde but i have dark red underneath and i use my so silver once a week...but it didnt effect it..if anything its made it made shinier and shimmered golden red instead of dark red..it might strip it abit but wont make it completely come out..it probably wont even strip it..you should fine but if your worried then just wash the blonde part with the silver stuff and pin the purple area to your head and dont use the silver stuff on that area. Will silver shampoo wreck the purple underneath my hair?
if the purple hair dye you used to dye your hair with is semi permenant wich most likely it is then no matter what shampoo and cond. you use the purple color is going to lighten..i know because i had purple in my hair...and i dont think it matters if the shampoo and conditioner is silver or not. the purple is eventually get lighter every time you wash it.. it depends what hair dye your using.
What do you mean by silver shampoo? Is the shampoo just silver or are there silver color pigments (for toning hair) in it? If it's just silver for ';decoration'; and doesn't have pigments in it, then you are fine.

I used a silver purple shampoo?

i used a silver purple shampoo and it turned my blonde hair silver. will this wash off?I used a silver purple shampoo?
Hay girl...I didnt see this post..I would use the NEXUS ALOE RID..it gets rid of the chemicals..you put into your hair...it really works and will not hurt it. My hair turned green from a pool once ..realll green I have natural blonde hair..so I used this product and it came out immediatly...its a good product. That shampoo you used is for people with gray hair to get the brassy look out it sorta turns their hair bluish or silerish..when it is a brassy gray...dont use that stuff..please! isten to me..I havent steered you wrong yet have I?I used a silver purple shampoo?
Being a shampoo, then it should. It's a temporary dye. Bet ya wont do that again, suggest finding a nice old lady to give the rest to!
    did you read the box?
It should wash out......eventually. You may want to contact their customer service for advice. The number should be on the package. Good Luck
Rewash your hair with normal shampoo and see.
depends on if its a permanent wash or not

read the bottle an se if itll wash out after so many washes.. if not.. use some blondisjh bloduct to take it back to blond.. and always use conditioner afterwards..dyes are harsh on the hair when done over an over!!

    Blue frosting silver shampoo???

some1 gave some advise on getting rid of orangy yellow colours in my hair because i dyed it from a vibrant red to a blonde which went orangy yellow and i was just woundering if it is any good and has one1 used it ... also if it lifts the yellow and orange colours out my hair wa colour would that turn to :S wud it bring my red back thruw or turn blonde thanks :D xBlue frosting silver shampoo???
i am having the EXACT same issue that you are, as i type this. i am headed to sally beauty supply today in search of the ';purple/blue shampoo';...i have used it in the past. i helps, but doesn't completely solve the issue. yeah, i love when everyone says ';go to a stylist'; as if everyone has $100 to blow. good luck! (;Blue frosting silver shampoo???
The ONLY way to get rid of unwanted red is to lift it out of there and shampoo is NOT going to do it. Go to a reputable stylist and have him/her determine what level of developer and what toner to use.
I gave you that advice it will not lift the colour it will just tone it down so your hair will look a honey blonde thats if it's dark orange but if it's yellow blonde then you will stay light but without the yellow. Obviously Denise does'nt know that you can't afford to go to a salon and pay big dollars to have it done. So try the shampoo and I guarantee you will be happy.

    For blonde hair (silver shampoo)?

right im looking at this silver shampoo for people who have dyed there hair blonde and its gone a brassy yellow colour. im about to buy it i just want to know if any1 has used it and does it work .. just to tel me abit more information about it. thanks. For blonde hair (silver shampoo)?
You can use it once a week or whenever you notice your blond getting brassy or yellow. They work really well and actually make your hair color look more fresh. I usually recommend Aveda Blue Malva or Clairol Shimmerlights, but there are others that work well also. For blonde hair (silver shampoo)?
A gentle cleanser formulated specifically to polish out unwanted brassiness from blonde, highlighted and silver hair.

I don't think it is for all of the time use...

You should read the label or talk to a stylist about the product. Some of them are diluted enough to use everyday, others are to use once every week or two. Read the label and see what it says.
Matrix carries a line that is for silver hair. I used to use it when I worked in a salon. It's purple shampoo but really helps to take the brassiness out or you can always go to a salon and have them put a toner on it.

    Good luck!
When I dyed my hair blonde I used the Sheer Blonde by John Fredia but that gets expensive so I switched to Pantene Pro-V for blondes. I liked them both a lot but I have never heard of the one you are talking about.
Yes, it is great for blonde hair that has gone brassy. It does come out of the bottle bright purple, so it is something that you should use in the shower. Leave it in your hair for 3-5 minutes and rinse. Use daily until you get the desired toning effect that you want. As maintenance use weekly. If you have really highlighted pieces that are WHITE be careful not to leave in for too long, as they can take on a lavender hughe. Only if they are WHITE.
    ITS BRILLIANT

You won't be able to lighten the tone THAT much but you will be able to reduce the yellow tones in it.

I would bleach your hair a swedish/light, platinum blonde first, being very careful not to over process.

This will take your hair much lighter, then you can use the silver shampoo to keep the yellow tone away and the more ash tone will keep.

Remember to use conditioner treatments as this is very drying to the hair.

    Loreal Silver Shampoo (purple shampoo)?

How long do I have to massage this into my hair for before it will actually take away the yellow tinge thats in my blonde?

I don't want to waste it, but I also don't want to leave it on for so long that my hair goes silver!Loreal Silver Shampoo (purple shampoo)?
Massage it into your scalp and work to the ends and let it sit for 5 minutes. Unless your hair is extremely brassy this should be enough time to take away the brassiness. If you don't get the desired results add 5 more minutes the next time but don't go over 15 because you can actually end up with a bluish tint if left on too long.Loreal Silver Shampoo (purple shampoo)?
hi just use it like normal shampoo it wont actually turn your hair silver it just tones the yellow out ... its fab enjoy the results. Lx
Just use it like normal shampoo. If it starts to absorb too much of the drabber or blue tint just use it every other time you shampoo or mix it with regular shampoo. If your hair is lightened or bleached it is porus and will absorb more of the color.
Your hair won't go silver--it's just made to take undesireable yellow and orange tinges out of either blond or grey hair. So wash away without fear.
u just lather it up like norm shampoo - leave on for 5 mins and yeah. only leave it on for 5 mins tho - i used matrix so silver shampoo which is the same as loreal's 1 and my hair went grey. but it does work and does make hair look blonde.

    Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?

My mate recommended this, I used it once then reapplied it leaving it for 5mins before rinsing, but it says to use a different shampoo for every third wash, does this mean the next time I wash my hair I should use the sliver shampoo? or how often does people use it?Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?
For the 3rd wash it means the third time u wash ur hair - like 3-4 days later.

Put it on ur hair and leave it for 5 mins the put conditioner on like normal then dont use it again for a couple of days. I find putting a shampoo on after it lessen's its effect. Also, it really only works on light blonde hair.

I would only use it twice a week...three if you must - over use it or leave it on for too long and ur hair will get a blue/purple tint to it!

But generally its a great shampoo and a bargain at 拢2! I wouldnt recommened any of their other products though like hairspray - waste of money!Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?
Before I had my hair coloured, I used to be quite grey, and used a Touch of Silver to enhance the grey, and to take the yellow out. It worked quite well, and made my hair sparkle. I would use it two times running, and then a different shampoo for the third time, and then back to Touch of Silver. Their other products are not much good - the hairspray is dreadful, but their finishing spray is useful.

I use a Salon bought shampoo for keeping silver hair shiney and help stop yellowing...?

One n only shiny silver shampoo?

Has anyone ever used One N Only Shiny Silver Shampoo or Blondie shampoo to help bring out or revive their hightlights? If so, how well did it work(could you tell a difference) and is it worth trying? Thanks! One n only shiny silver shampoo?
Another great idea for bringing out highlights is Sunsilk Blonde Bombshell Color Booster. This stuff really does work! Not only does it make your highlights pop and warm up your dark tones, it makes your hair so soft and shiny! I love it. And the color washes out in 4-6 shampoos.

Give it a try!One n only shiny silver shampoo?
I use shimmering lights once a week (same concept - violet shampoo). I just use the shampoo with a regular conditioner, leave it on for 5 minutes, and my bleached blonde hair looks great, it definetly revives the color since I flat iron it every day it tends to get brassy. But with that shampoo, no more brassiness and I have not had any bad effects - no white, blue, or violet. I would try it if I were you, leave it on for the minimum amount of time it recommends the first time you use it to see how it affects your hair.
Hey thanks for your answer on my question about my curly hair and thte messy bun. That was nice of you to say Congrats!

Anyways I have tried these shampoos and they really don't work that well. There is no difference that anyone is going to see or notice, so I think that comes down to it being a waste of money.
Instead of that, which is a violet-based pigmented shampoo, and can quickly turn your blonde tresses into a decidedly Easter-egg shade, try Redken's Blonde Glam shampoo %26amp; conditioner. They're great!
i've used shampoos for blondes... didn't really notice a diffence.
one n only or shimmer lights does work.

you can not use it daily unless you want to end up with violet or blue highlights. Use it once a week and after your happy how it looks use it once every 2 weeks.

REDKEN lightening conditioner or MATRIX Silver shampoo?

Anyone know which gives the best results on slightly lightening and removing orangey-yellow hair tonesREDKEN lightening conditioner or MATRIX Silver shampoo?
redken products are rlly good ;]

not sure about matrix tho, but i love redekn ;DREDKEN lightening conditioner or MATRIX Silver shampoo?
A blonde shampoo will not really ';remove'; yellow or brassy tones. They just tend to enhance the blonde over time. If you are trying to remove unwanted tones after a color, you really need to use a toner. If you are looking for a shampoo to enhance and maintain blonde, then go for the Matrix Silver.

I will add though that blonde hair does pick up more of the nasty particles floating in the air, such as smoke, and can actually turn colors from it. If this is the case, then you need a good clarifying shampoo, followed by a blonde shampoo.

People who have used or know about purple/silver shampoo?

I have blonde hair and want to get rid of the ';brassy tones'; but I am scared my hair is going to go white..Will it? How do I use the shampoo so it doesnt go white?People who have used or know about purple/silver shampoo?
I dye my hair blonde and use a purple shampoo. I like it better because the silver shampoo gives you an almost greenish look. It won't turn white because it's not powerful enough. I recommend going to a hair salon and getting it toned, because the shampoo's effects are only temporary.

    Good Luck!

%26lt;33 MaileePeople who have used or know about purple/silver shampoo?
It won't go white. Silver shampoo has a purple toner base designed specifically what you want: to get rid of brassy tones. I've used it for a couple years now and it has kept my color healthy and vibrant.

Has anyone used Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?

Im thinking of using it to remove the yellow tones in my blonde hair...has anyone had any experience with it?? Good or Bad???Has anyone used Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?
this is wonderful i use this on my blonde highlights it stops them from being yellow or ginger its wonderful but be-careful when you store it as if it tips out on some surfaces or on towels or clothes it will stain badly and you might not get it out.i also use to use this regular on many clients that use to come in to hairdressers where i used to work(no longer work there )and i also had wonderful results with it works good on salt and pepper hair(dark with silver bits in it) so to use it follow instructions on bottle also but shampoo in your hand and rub together or you might get little bits of blue on tips of hair hope this helps youHas anyone used Schwarzkopf touch of silver shampoo?
Yes its awesome when used on a regular basis on blonde highlights, as the previous poster says hairdressers do recommend it to stop bleach looking yellow.

There is a cheaper version sold in superdrug can't remember what its called but its a lot cheaper than the schwarzkopf one.
my hairdresser told me to use it to remove the brassy tones of my blonde hair..

worked wonders! just dont spill it anywhere....its a nightmare to get out of clothes!

What is the best Shampoo for a black and silver Miniature Schnauzer?

I'm getting a black and silver miniature schnauzer puppy and I was just wondering what people recommend as the best shampoos for a pup and later on for a dog. I don't intend to show him but I want him to look his best, in colour and coat condition. Also important to me is that the shampoo be as natural as possible and biodegradable etc. What is the best Shampoo for a black and silver Miniature Schnauzer?
I'd check either KV Vet supply or Dr. Foster and Smith for some good brands. If you go to a show you can ask for recommendations. They make wire haired shampoos or Terrier coat shampoos.http://www.kvvet.com/KVVet/productr.asp?鈥?/a>

    http://amsc.us/grooming.html

So apparently the Schnauzer club says any shampoo will do. I used whitening shampoo on the legs and beards and used regular shampoo on the rest. Beards do get really smelly if they aren't kept clean. What is the best Shampoo for a black and silver Miniature Schnauzer?
CALL THE BREEDER,,, they will tell you exactly what they use on the show dogs,,,
get a tearless puppy shampoo so you don't have to worry about getting anything in your puppy's eyes. also get a conditioner with aloe. this will give you the desired coat without having to worry about getting rid of it's natural produced oils. you can pick these up at any local pet store.

if you don't intend to show him i would recommend you give him something much like the yorkie puppy cut so that grooming doesn't become too difficult. long hair is prone to matting and this won't be pleasant for you or your dog.

also keep in mind that most dogs don't need to be bathed very often. with schnauzers once a month or so should be just fine
okay try gold medal puppy shampoo from petsmart and it is a really good shampoo and it dries quick and does not cause the dog much stress because it drys quick . good luck .

  • What is the best shampoo/conditioner for grey/silver hair?

I have been growing out my grey hair and now have 2 inch grey roots. I am cutting off all the dark dyed hair on Friday so I will be entirely grey, hence the need for a change of shampoo. Can anyone suggest a shampoo that will keep my grey shiney and not yellow it?

I'm not entirely sure about what kind is a good daily shampoo or conditioner, but if you end up getting one that yellows your hair, use ag's sterling silver. This has a purple tint to it to neutralize the yellow, and bring it back to its normal grey/silver.

Or Go Hairdressers And Get It Dyed...

X x X Good LuckI used Schwarzkopf Touch of Silver Shampoo on my hair to give it a better colour, My hair was bright white?
Go to your Beautician ask for the Miss Clairol Color . They have got it going on for the grey or partially grey hair. They are the color pros for a greater variety.

Your Stylist can give you a shampoo cap to remove the blue and achieve the shade you desire. Problem is the shampoo was in a little too long for your shade. Not a problem at all to take care of.
Same thing has happened to me. It's easy to over do it. Get a mixture of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water going in the sink and dip all your hair in. Check every few minutes, it should reduce the grayness. It will eventually fade too.

How do I get the light purple out of my hair from using Jhirmack shampoo for blonde/silver?

I was using it every day and now know to use it 2x a week. How do I get the light purple out of my hair from using Jhirmack shampoo for blonde/silver?
Definitely use a clarifying shampoo. How do I get the light purple out of my hair from using Jhirmack shampoo for blonde/silver?
if you wash your hair a few times, without using the silver shampoo it should come out.

yeah, them shampoos are designed to not be used everyday as they also dry hair out(since they have toner added to them) so use it sparingly and dont leave it on for longer than 5mins.
A claryfying shampoo strips out most things or else use a dandruff shampoo it does the same thing. Be sure to condition well afterwards because both shampoos dry out the hair.
try a clarifying shampoo. if not just keep on washing it.. it will come out... if you put on dry hair once a week it works just as well

Can i use touch of silver shampoo straight after ive dyed my hair?

as my hair didnt go the blonde i wanted more yellow could i use a touch of silver shampoo straight after ive dyed it thanksCan i use touch of silver shampoo straight after ive dyed my hair?
You have to leave your hair like that for a while, I work in a beauty supply, and trust me, many people just made mistakes of that kind! Be careful and don't frizz and make your hair coarse because of that, Just be patient and do it after 2-3 weeks then you will be alright! Another thing you can do is to color your hair again ni a different color but make sure the brand you will use to dye your hair is not cheap or you will damage your hair, I would suggest loreal paris, I did it with my wife and it did work fine!

Good luckCan i use touch of silver shampoo straight after ive dyed my hair?
That could very well work. Make sure you wait 2 weeks before you do it to let the other color set and not danage your hair
i used it right away, my hair dresser actually told me to.

I have grey hair and I use Pantene Silver shampoo or conditioner. It also is for blonde hair. It adds shine and eliminates the brassy tones that blondes and grey-haired people sometimes get. It has a purplish tint to it; that is the ingredient that counteracts the dullness in your hair. It smells good and the conditioner leaves my hair fluffy and light, not weighed down like other ones do. And it's less than $6 a bottle. You can also get Jhirmack Silver at Walgreen's for $4 a bottle, but they don't carry the conditioner. I bought my Jhirmack at my local grocery store.
    Your hair should not dry out because it is a conditioner. The blurb says, ';Touch of Silver Styling Mousse is a professional quality mousse formulated with active ingredients to condition and care for specifically grey or white hair. Violet colour pigments will conteract any tendency to yellowing, fading or dullness. The result is styled, soft and shiny silver hair that sparkles.';

Does matrix so silver shampoo really work?

and if it does do a good job of keeping the brass tone out of my blonde then how often should i use it?Does matrix so silver shampoo really work?
I've never used the Matrix brand but I have used several other shampoos that make the same claims. I have platinum blond hair and find it difficult to keep it from getting yellowish over time but these shampoos are a lifesaver. I use one from Joico about once a week. I apply it, let it sit on my hair for a minute or so and then rinse. It keeps my hair shiny and platinum without drying. Be careful not to use it too much because it can deposit purple or blue tones on the hair.
